Eco-shout has been designed as a catalyst to action for Australia's green community, those campaigning for environmental and Indigenous justice and a sustainable future.

There are three main areas on the site:

Get Informed

This section is about arming yourself with information and finding out what's out there. Get Informed outlines environmental issues facing Australia, where to find the people who are doing something about them, and how to separate the green wonders from the green wash. There's a comprehensive directory of Active Groups focusing on different environmental issues; and a Green Directory to locate all the green treats hidden in Australia, from organic co-ops to native nurseries and delicious veggie restaurants.

Get A Job

This section provides information on job vacancies, short courses and tertiary courses available to help you find a job that doesn't exploit people or the planet.

Get Active

This section contains the tools for active campaigners to propel their plans into action (and find a room in a friendly sharehouse and a lift to the bush as well). In Get Active you can find out what's happening in Australia through the Events calendar, look for eco-friendly sharehousing through the Housing network, look for a lift out of town through Hitch a Ride or look for resources for your own group or project through Scavenger.

SEND US YOUR COMMUNIQUES
Done a great action or had a campaign win? Inspire community action. Send us your press release or communique so we can let everyone know about it on our homepage. Email us at action@eco-shout.org.

CONTRIBUTE
Do you know of a group or sustainable business that's not on Eco-shout? Let us know about it! You can fill in the detials of your own group or project or other groups you know of through this section of the website. Eco-shout is your resource. Use it and share the information with other environmental activists and campaigners. You can also contribute financially to Eco-shout so we can pay the rent!

HOUSING
Post a housing notice to look for an eco-friendly sharehouse or housmate

HITCH A RIDE
Use this glorified hitching network to connect with people heading in the same direction as you to a festival, conference or speccy destination. You can post a notice seeking or offering a ride.

SCAVENGER
Put a call out for resources for your group or project in the Swapya forum, or find worthy recipients of your old stuff.

GREENWASH
Got any good examples of groups/companies trying to cash in on environmental concern? Send us the details so we can expose them through the Greenwash pages.

CONTACT US
